You can close your Elderly account at any time and have everything we hold about you and your parent erased. It's free, and you don't need to give a reason.
How to ask
Write to hello@callelderly.com from the email address on your account, or tell us the mobile number you sign in with. Say that you want your account deleted. If you look after more than one parent in Elderly, tell us whether to delete all of them.
We reply to confirm it's really you, and then we delete it.
What we delete
- Your account: your name, mobile number or email, and how you sign in.
- For each parent you added (and no one else in your family still looks after): their profile, everything the family sent to their TV (notes, photos, videos, voice notes, events, reminders, books and documents), what happened on their TV, and their replies. Their TV is unlinked and goes back to showing a code.
- If you used Elderly's earlier phone service: the recordings, transcripts and notes of those calls.
If other family members also look after the same parent, only your access is removed and the parent stays with them, unless you were the one who added the parent and you ask us to remove them for everyone.
When
We delete it within 30 days of confirming your request, usually much sooner. Copies in our automatic backups are erased as those backups expire, in the same period. We keep only what the law requires us to keep.
Delete only some of it
You don't have to close your account to delete something. Ask us at hello@callelderly.com to delete specific photos, videos, notes or other data, and we do it within 30 days.
The privacy policy explains everything we keep and why.
