Elderly's optional text alerts: how to opt in, what we send, how often, and how to stop.

Last updated: September 28, 2026Reading time

Elderly calls an older adult you love and sends you a short note afterward. Most of what we send goes by email. Text messages are an extra you can choose: short alerts when something in a call needs your attention the same day. They are optional, and you only get them if you say yes.

The program

  • Name: Elderly family alerts, sent by Elderly, Inc.
  • From: +1 (385) 233-6678 for the alerts. Verification codes are different: Twilio Verify sends them from Twilio's own numbers, with Twilio's standard wording, so they can arrive from another number.
  • What we text: an alert when something in a call with your family member needs you the same day, for example a request that needs your approval (like booking an appointment they asked for) or a health concern they mentioned; a short update when a request you approved is done, or could not be completed; and the verification codes you ask for.
  • What we never text: marketing, promotions or offers.
  • How often: message frequency varies. Most families get a few a month, and many none at all.
  • Cost: message and data rates may apply.

How you opt in

When you create your account, and whenever you verify a mobile number in your family portal, you see this box under the mobile number field. It starts unticked, and it is never required: leave it unticked and you can use Elderly exactly the same, and we reach you by email instead. If you tick it, we keep the date you said yes.

Yes, text me alerts about my family member's calls and my verification codes. Optional: leave it unchecked and you can still use Elderly, and we will email you instead. Message frequency varies. No marketing. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy and Terms.

You can see it on the sign-up form at callelderly.com/ingresar?signup=1, and in the last step of the plan builder at callelderly.com/#price.

What the messages look like

Elderly: Done. Rosa's cardiology follow-up: Booked with Dr. Patel, Tue Oct 6 at 10:30 AM. Reply STOP to opt out.

Elderly: on today's call with Rosa something came up that is worth a look. They said their knee has hurt for three days. Read the note in the family portal. We are not an emergency service; in an emergency call 911. Reply STOP to opt out.

Your Elderly verification code is: 072738

The code message is Twilio Verify's standard text, not ours.

How to stop, and how to get help

  • Reply STOP to any message and we stop right away. You get one last message confirming it.
  • Reply HELP for help, or write to hello@callelderly.com.
  • Stopping texts does not stop the calls or close your account. Alerts keep reaching you by email.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

A text from Elderly is not an emergency service. No one is watching the calls in real time. In an emergency, call 911.
