Privacy Policy

Elderly calls an older adult you love, and sends you a short note afterward. That means we handle recordings of real conversations with someone who may not be the person paying us. This page explains exactly what we keep, who can see it, and how to make it go away.
Who we are
Elderly is operated by Zawo LLC, formerly named TalentLink LLC — the same company, renamed with the State of Utah on May 11, 2026. You can reach a human at matias@callelderly.com. Elderly is available in the United States only.
The two people in every account
Almost every account involves two people, and they are not treated the same way:
- The family member who signs up, pays, and reads the notes. That is the account holder.
- The older adult who receives the calls. They are not our customer, but the conversation is theirs. We ask for their permission out loud, on the first call, before we keep any recording.
What we collect
From the family member
- Name, email address, and phone number.
- Password (stored only as a one-way hash) or, if you sign in with Google, your Google account email and name. We never receive your Google password.
- What you tell us about the older adult when setting up: their name, phone number, time zone, preferred call times, and any context you want the calls to include (interests, family names, health topics to avoid).
- Requests you make, such as asking us to bring up a specific memory or question on an upcoming call.
- Payment records. Card numbers are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers.
From the calls
- An audio recording of each call, and a written transcript of it.
- Call metadata: date, time, length, whether the call was answered, and by whom (person or voicemail).
- A short written summary of each call, generated automatically from the transcript, plus flags for things worth your attention (for example: they mentioned pain, or they sounded down).
From the website
- Basic usage analytics on our public pages, so we know which pages people read. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell or share data for advertising.
Consent from the older adult
On the very first call, before anything is stored as part of their profile, the caller says plainly that the calls are recorded and that a note goes to their family, and asks whether that is alright. Their answer is recorded and kept as part of the account.
If they say no, the account cannot proceed. We do not keep calling someone who declined, and we do not deliver notes about them. The family member is told.
Either person can withdraw that permission later. The older adult can say so on any call, or anyone can email us. We stop within one business day.
How we use it
- To place the calls, hold the conversation, and write the note you receive afterward.
- To let the calls remember earlier conversations, so the older adult is not asked the same thing every day.
- To alert you when something in a call warrants attention.
- To send you an email after each call with a link to that call's note.
- To bill you, support you, and keep the service running and secure.
We do not sell personal information, share it with data brokers, or use call content to advertise anything to anyone. We do not use your recordings or transcripts to train our own general-purpose AI models.
Everything we send you goes to the email address on your account, which you confirm with a one-time code when you sign up. Three kinds of message, and nothing else:
- A verification code when you create your account or change your email.
- A note after each completed call, with a link that opens that call's summary inside your portal.
- An alert when a call could not be completed, or when something in a call is worth your attention the same day.
- Once in a while, a service announcement when something about the calls changes: new days you can pick, a change to how the reports work. Never an offer, never a promotion.
Frequency: one email per completed call, up to seven per week depending on the schedule you chose, plus the occasional verification code, alert or announcement.
We never send marketing or promotional email. Every message we send is transactional: a code you asked for, or something that just happened on a call. There is no marketing consent bundled into signing up, because there is no marketing. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not stop the calls or close your account.
We do not send text messages, and we do not share mobile numbers. We ask for your mobile number so we can reach you if something goes wrong with the calls; we do not text it today. No phone number is sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
What we count on the website
On the public site there is one thing we count, and only one: when someone picks a country where Elderly has not opened yet. We store the country and the date. That is the whole record.
We do not store your name, your email, your IP address, or any identifier that could point back to you, and we do not use cookies, trackers or third-party analytics anywhere on this site. We count this because it is how we decide which country to open next, and we would rather decide it with real numbers than with guesses.
Who else touches this data
We use a small number of vendors to run the service. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
| Vendor | What it handles |
|---|---|
| Retell AI | Places the phone calls, provides the voice, records the audio, and transcribes it. |
| OpenAI | Turns each transcript into the written summary you read. Under our agreement, this content is not used to train their models. |
| Twilio | Carries the phone calls. |
| Resend | Sends account emails and reports. |
| Stripe | Processes payments. Card details go directly to Stripe. |
| Railway | Hosts the application and the database, in the United States. |
| Vercel | Serves the public website. |
| Only if you choose to sign in with Google: verifies who you are and gives us your email and name. |
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or if we believe someone is in immediate danger.
Who in your family can see what
The account holder can invite other family members. Invited people see the notes and call history for the older adults they were given access to, and nothing else. The account holder can remove anyone's access at any time, and removal takes effect immediately.
How long we keep it
- Recordings and transcripts: kept while the account is active, so the calls can remember. Deleted within 30 days of account closure.
- Notes and summaries: the same.
- Billing records: kept as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically seven years.
- Consent recordings: kept for as long as we called that person, plus one year, because they are the record that we had permission.
Your rights
Wherever you live in the United States, and regardless of whether your state has a privacy law, we will honor these requests:
- See it. Ask us for a copy of everything we hold about you or your family member.
- Correct it. Fix anything that is wrong.
- Delete it. Close the account and have the data erased. You can do this from your portal, or by emailing us.
- Stop the emails. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, or write to us at hello@callelderly.com.
Write to matias@callelderly.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will not charge you or degrade your service for asking.
If you are the older adult being called, these rights are yours too, and you do not need the account holder's permission to use them.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to the production database is limited to the people who operate the service. Recordings are never public: they are served only to a signed-in account, and the link alone is not enough to open one. The database is backed up automatically several times an hour.
No system is perfect. If we ever have a breach that affects you, we will tell you what happened, what was exposed, and what we are doing about it.
Children
Elderly is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change something that matters, we will email the account holder before it takes effect, and update the date at the top of this page.
